Born in Arizona, Michael Harney, aka Harn Solo, has an incredible passion for music, with Hip-Hop being the biggest jewel of all. Having moved to Arizona in 2001, Mike was already good at freestyling, which he took further at parties and local radio station battles. Yet he felt like there was something missing in his development as an artist, so he began to write his own lyrics. Being a Communications major only helped Mike to grow and transform into a stronger, more mature person - Harn Solo had been born. Spending most of his spare time away from college writing, Mike went on to record a demo in Vancouver, with help from his friend and business partner Pasha. He saw the potential, and although Solo had to move back to Colorado, they decided to make a full album. Solo wrote relentlessly for months, and by Christmas break they were ready to record. The whole album "Solo 101" was recorded in less than 2 weeks at Midnight Studios, thanks to one of the most talented producers in Vancouver - Geoff Reich. This is a great story of hard work and perseverance, and we want you to be a part of it. Never let your dreams sleep!

Solo 101 is an album that touches on the artist's personal life and battles to become a better, stronger person. For an album released on an independent record label, the production, lyrics, and overall quality rival most major label releases. When planning the album we decided to go for quality rather than quantity, which is why you won't find any interludes or album fillers. Every song made on Solo 101 is special to us in its own way, and we worked hard to make sure it sounds special to lovers of hip-hop all over the world.
